Joseph P. Ryan lost his seven-year fight with ALS on 10/31/2013. In 2010, under the directive of Joe, his friends and family and Elder's then Director of Development Toby Heile helped form the "Joseph P. Ryan Elder High School Scholarship Fund." The fund started in 2010 and is unique because it distributes all of the donations from the previous year, giving tuition assistance to Elder students. Since the 2010 "2 Club Kook" combined with the "JPR Memorial" outing, your support over the years has provided the JPR scholarship fund with over $204,000 in tuition assistance to alumni and current students, and for that we are all deeply thankful. We only hope to keep honoring Joe and help out where we can in the Elder community.
